In my work, I often honor and preserve everyday objects by freezing them in ceramics. With my style, I try to transform what is often overlooked or taken for granted into something joyful and precious, and in doing so, I celebrate the object. I often choose objects that are on the verge of disappearing and recreate them in my own style, placing them in unexpected settings. I aim for perfect awkwardness and I love using wobbly lines and uneven surfaces. If something turns out too straight or neat, I’ll add a few dents.
